Rangoli Competition In Photon !!

This was the first time I have taken part in rangoli competition and I'm happy that I have did it in Photon and mainly because of Set batch guys. Our SET guys Kanan , Nivas and Vijay started this enthusiasm , the day when photon announce the competition these people were encouraging us constantly to participate. Nivas was busy in chat with myself , Rasheeda and Kiruthiga to nominate, finally we accepted then those guys themselves nominated our names. Then we forgot about it and lacked interest in doing rangoli . Monday we have the competition but till friday evening we didnt prepare or discuss about the theme , we didnt even think about rangoli.


Then at friday evening 7 o clock we got Kubendran in chat and we asked him for an idea then he came to our place and we 3 of us ( Kubs , Rasheeda and myself ) started the discussion, the discussion went seriously with the spirit to get the prize. We thought of many current topics about terrorism , recession and IT companies finally we put all those things together into a single theme that was our rangoli theme "Our Wish ". That evening we started searching images for our theme , Kubendran strated editing those selected pictures with photoshop make-ups and finally we came up with the picture of a Hen with three eggs in which 2 of the eggs were broken and only one , the special above the rest hatches out and its name is IT .Wow nice concept right ? ...

Two days later ...

Today is monday and I came very late to office no idea what are the things to buy . As soon as I reach office Nivas called me and asked about the materials and things to buy. Then again a discussion goes about the materials and colors with our friends then Nivas and kanan went out to buy those things.

In the car parking area we started our color mixing and our HR people gave us the lot to choose the place alottment and we got the 1st place and started drawing in the alloted place. Kubendran started drawing , we were very happy because Kubs was with us in drawings and we did the colorings , intially the coloring was also quiet hard later on went well .

Then we started coloring while Kubendran was drawing , after everything went over we were really amazed to see our picture its like 3D image and that too specially that broken egg was decorated by Kubendran Wow it was Amazing !!

Then we dont have enough time to fill the back ground later we felt that may be the reason for what we missed . Then our judges came and Kubs explained everthing about our theme. I was thinking that we will surely get prize because our theme is excellent. Many of our photonites were taking many photos with our rangoli and everybody was saying that the message we gave through the drawings was so wonderful. And I was dreaming atleast one of the first 2 prizes we will get it for sure . Let the dream continue ...

The Next Day ..

I was waiting eagerly for the call from our friends that surely will be the good news about the rangoli result. Then Nivas called me and broke out the suspense I had , that Providence team won the 1st prize and Multimedia the 2nd prize if we have 3rd prize option then it will be sure for us. But I felt very bad oops we missed out the prizes . Then after getting into the office many of the messages came from our friends were really the good news everyone was appreciating the theme and the 3D effect of our image. Really my heart felt the real happiness not through prize but through the wishing words from friends.

My Birthday !!

Sshh......... It is 11.45 pm - Dec 2nd , 2008 , I started praying to God requesting for more blessings as a gift for this another - Special Year . The clock struck 12... my mobile started ringing but I wanted to give those first few minutes to God I mean , I want to speak with God who added another special year into my life.

Finally the Great Day Dec 3rd has come !!

Hey It is ... My Birthday !!

Then I bid Thanks to God and started attending calls . I bid thanks to all who remembered me and even scarificied their precious sleeping time to wish me . Even most of my friends had kept alarm to wish me. I was really amazed with their love on me !! I Thank God once again for gifting me with wonderful friends and relatives. With too many expectations I was eagerly greeting the special day in my life cox atleast on that day I will be special and remembered by my Friends , Colleagues and Relations.

The day started with a warm hug and few Kisses from my Dad . I heard those whispering wish from my Dad - "Happy Birthday Rani 'ma ( that's how my Dad use to call me). Then my brother woke up .. lazy guy ;) He wished me as usual and nothing to surprise me. I was little dissapointed because he didnt wish me @ 12 am but I kow that this is usual . Then we had a Family prayer and my Dad blessed me . Then my brother informed me that he has invited all our church youth guys and gals that evening and asked me to keep the house clean.

Both my Dad and brother went out. The day was like a normal day for me. My dad had asked me to prepare lunch at home itself. I started cooking. Have to do all the things by myself. My mind felt that nothing is special even today except for the phone calls that reminded me now and then that today is my birthday. As usual I was left alone at home.

In the noon after taking bath, while I was walking out of the room, my brother asked me to look at the top of the refrigerator...

Wow !! There I saw the laminated picture of my family I was literally surprised by the gift. He then asked me to come out to the hall... and there in the hall, on the wall, another fantastic laminated picture was hanging in which we both posed like a MIB’s. I'm really very much amazed!!! I went near my brother and gave him a precious gift (Kiss).


I thanked God at that moment for such a lovable brother who surprised me when I didn’t expect. I felt like I had an explosion of energy down into my soul. We had lunch together after a loooooonnnnnnnnnnng time.

Here comes the Evening... Many of our church guys were coming one by one. I felt that the birthday function has just entered the house and my home was decorated colorfully by guests and their wishes. Cake box has been opened to all in the hall…Thank GOD!! - the age written on the cake was wiped out by those covers of the cake box. God is on my side guys ;)

Then our church's assistant Pastor and our beloved Arun anna started praying. Thanks for your blessings anna!!!

Now, Cake Cutting function started with prayer. Everyone started singing Happy Birthday ... to .. U... wow it’s like carols of angels!!! I gave the first piece to my Dad and the next to my brother. Oops my God he ate the whole cream!!! Next to my beloved chweet little angels!! I started distributing the cakes and chocolates to everyone with a big smile and spreading it throughout the home as well. Everyone was enjoying the day.

Another special surprise was waiting for me from Kutti anna. He brought sweets, mixtures and tea to everyone there. He had arranged it like a mini dinner. Thanx a loootttt for your love, anna. While everyone was having those snacks I was busy receiving the gifts from the youth department. It was a Memory card reader!!! Then my sister Divya and brother Wesley gave me another gift – a photo frame. Great guys…thank you all for your wonderful gifts - a symbol of love you people have on me!!

Great day is coming to an end… Nooooooooooo...I don’t want it come to an end :( It was full of Fun and Enjoyment. Next day I have to go to office. My friends at office will be sure to scold me for taking leave on my birthday. Got few already through phone calls. Though this day’s enjoyment is coming to an end, there are still more exciting moments awaiting me at office, the next day...
